Google Android and HTC Dream

Google Android is a software stack for mobile devices based on the Linux operating system kernel and developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance. For those of you who dont know about the open system alliance,it is a consortium of 34 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices.
Android uses a Java based platform and only Java programmed codes can run on it.The Android Platform provides a rich security model that allows developers to request the capabilities, or access, needed by their application and to define new capabilities that other applications can request. The Android user can choose to grant or deny an application's request for certain capabilities on the handset. Great efforts have been made to secure the Android platform, but it is inevitable that security bugs will be found in any system of this complexity. Therefore,
the Android team works hard to find new bugs internally and responds quickly
and professionally to vulnerability reports from external researchers.

Now regarding the HTC Dream.Well its gonna cost you around $180 and it would be sold along with a T-mobile plan.HTC dream has a Qualcomm 528MHz processor, tochscreen interface,GPS,3.1 megapixel camera. The phone shall come along with inbuilt YouTube player,Gmail and much more.

As far as i can predict,i should say that the iPhone's much eatablished market in the US is in danger.
